In an unusual but certainly topical change of pace, Thursday night's Bones Season 10 Episode 7 saw the team hot on the trail of a hedge fund company.

Bones Season 10 Episode 7 begins with a body find - we know, big surprise there - as two single dads uncovering a corpse beneath a merry-go-round.

Also, we see Booth and Brennan at home, where they react as sweet little Christine uses her first curse word, which concerns dad more than mom.

Squint Oliver Wells joins Cam and Brennan at the lab to examine the body.

Wells boldly believes he can and will become a superior forensic anthropologist to Brennan one day, and spends a lot of time trying to show us why.

If you watch Bones online, you know that's a tall order, however.

As Booth and Aubrey talk about the week's case, we learn that it hits home for the latter, who loathes the 1 Percent with a passion. Now we know why:

Aubrey's dad worked on Wall Street and was arrested for fraud.

Worse yet, once he got popped, he skipped bail, abandoning his family rather than coming clean about his crime and facing the consequences like a man.

Young Aubrey was just 13 at the time this occurred.

The "Conflict of Interest" red flag is waving like crazy in Booth's brain, and for good reason. Aubrey goofs up badly, though at least he can see that he did.

Apologizing for letting his emotions get in the way, he suggests that he step aside going forward and that Brennan go in his place to apprehend the suspect.

A wise and mature move, and one Brennan repays.

Telling him her own story about fathers and how they shape who he are - for better or worse - she helps Aubrey come to grips with his past just a bit.
