Zooey Deschanel is engaged to Jacob Pechenik, according to reports! The 35-year-old New Girl star is pregnant with the couple's first child as well.
Us was the first to confirm that the She & Him singer was expecting, and now that she and him are engaged (no, Pechenik is not the Him in her band).
The pregnant Zooey Deschanel is due to give birth to their little one this summer. It's not clear if this will be written into her FOX comedy show somehow.
Pechenik and Deschanel first went public together in August 2014, after her split from screenwriter Jamie Linden, whom she dated for two years.
They made their red carpet debut at the 2014 Emmy Awards, where they posed together at the Nokia Theatre in L.A., but have kept a very low profile.
This will be the second marriage for Deschanel, who previously wed Death Cab for Cutie vocalist Ben Gibbard for two years before their 2012 split.
As for reports that Deschanel never wanted kids and has only been with Pechenik a few months, well ... let's hope this story puts those rumors to rest.
