Wednesday on ABC's The Goldbergs Season 2 Episode 8, Adam showed off his undying love for George Michael by singing and dancing in front of the camera.
While there was no YouTube or viral embarrassment back then, that doesn't mean there weren't complications as a cabinet collapsed and broke his arm.
Of course, you watch The Goldbergs online to see how people react to these kinds of events in an emotional, yet comedic way, and this was no different.
Since he doesn't wan to reveal the video to his best friend Emmy, Adam comes up with the totally believable story that his injury came about via hoverboard.
He even swears on their friendship that this is true, which is a guarantee that the lie will blow up in his face, as it invariably did, to his chagrin and humiliation.
Adam begs Emmy for forgiveness, though, and earns it.
While this was going on, Beverly is complaining about how ungrateful everyone is around the house, so Murray suggests the family go out for Chinese food.
The good news is that this fun plan was a huge success.
The bad news is that now they want to go ALL the time.
As an alternative, Beverly attempts to prepare Chinese food at the house, fails spectacularly, and admits that she feels insecure because food is her thing.
When she cooks, she contributes. When she doesn't, then what does she have to offer? The family understands, and comes up with a great compromise:
