The year is winding down, THGers, with only a precious few days left.
And with that, only a few remaining stars in the running for The Hollywood Gossip's epic, prestigious, arbitrary, 8th Annual Celebrity of the Year honor.
We've been counting down the 10 celebs who provided us with the best moments, stories, scandals and entertainment value over the past 12 months' time.
It's been a roller coaster ride for all of them, that's for darn sure.
Earlier, we kicked off the countdown with Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Princess Elsa, the Selfie, and Kim Kardashian (of course).
Now, at #3, we present the soon-to-be-jailbird Teresa Giudice!
This year was not kind to Teresa Giudice. Not in the least.
If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, or read any celebrity gossip whatsoever, you are at least partially familiar with her legal woes.
Woes that will send her to Danbury, Conn., next Monday.
Yes, Teresa is bound for the women's correctional facility that inspired Orange is the New Black, having pleaded guilty to fraud charges earlier this fall.
She will be there for the next 15 months, possibly a bit less as long as she behaves herself and doesn't fashion any crude shanks to wield in the cafeteria.
Given her history on Bravo, one can't be 100 percent sure about that. She's a loose cannon to say the least, and doesn't do well with stress or confrontations.
Following that, her husband Joe will spend three and a half YEARS behind bars. All the while, their four daughters will be left reeling from this epic scandal.
It's hard to rank Teresa so prominently on our countdown by virtue of a single scandal, but hers dominated news and gossip feeds like almost no other.
In a sense, it was a quintessential American story.
The endless speculation over how much time Teresa would get, how she'd react, what would happen if and when she goes, etc., made for 24-7 fodder.
Add in the fact that this played out on reality TV?
What you had was spectacle for the ages, and in a sense, one that epitomized the boom and bust of the financial crisis, and the subculture of American greed.
The stereotypical McMansion-dwelling nouveau rich, Teresa and Joe stretched themselves too thin and went to extreme lengths to keep up with the Joneses.
In turn, the Giudices became a walking cautionary tale, a terrible twosome that will forever live in infamy extending well beyond her table-tossing ways ...
