Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett have decided to stay together and battle through the tumult that has engulfed their marriage over the past six months.
As we saw in an emotional Kendra on Top Season 3 Episode 14, Hank proposed (sort of), Kendra counter-proposed (sort of) and they all lived happily ever after.
Mostly. She's taken him back, but he has yet to win back her trust.
“It’s going to take a lifetime to trust him again,” Wilkinson admitted to Us about her husband, who adds, “I will spend my life trying to get Kendra to trust me again.”
The specifics of Baskett’s alleged affair with transgender model Ava London in June were never confirmed or denied by either one of them (just London).
Something happened between Hank Baskett and Ava London, seeing as he never denied or refuted her claims and Kendra clearly was beyond furious.
Only they know exactly what. But Kendra is okay moving past it.
“All I can say is I believe Hank. I love Hank. And he’s proven to me that he’s worth forgiving and fighting for,” she says. “He was at the wrong place at the wrong time."
"Unfortunate things took place. He’s very gullible and naive.”
You can parse that cryptic comment a number of ways, but it seems that perhaps she thinks he was set up by a man pretending to be a woman and seducing him.
In any case, Hank admits severe depression and feeling lost after his NFL career fizzled, crediting Jessica Hall, Kendra's best friend, for helping keep them together.
Though the couple is working on rebuilding their relationship, Wilkinson remembers the distraught state she was in following the news of this past summer.
“I would cry myself to sleep every night, not knowing what happened,” she recalled. “I was trying to get what I could out of Hank, but I couldn’t control my rage."
To put it mildly, she says, "It became very volatile between us.”
Nowadays, though, they're focusing their energy on mending what’s been lost between them. Both Kendra and Hank proposed to renew their vows.
“Our relationship is still day-to-day. I’m still working on regaining Kendra’s trust,” Baskett said, and he likely will be in the proverbial doghouse for years.
At least he's back living in their actual house, though.
If you watch Kendra on Top online, you know that was not a foregone conclusion by any means ... unless you think all of this was faked for the sake of their show.
Given some of the missing details and how happily things wrapped up at the end there, we wouldn't blame the conspiracy theorists too much on this one.
